On Tuesday June 14th a Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from the gas pumps at the QT at 4900 S Peoria Ave. At the time of that auto theft, there was a 7 month old child in a car seat in the back of the vehicle.
Officers were notified immediately about the auto theft and were able to quickly locate the vehicle and the child in the area of 4800 S Utica Ave. The child was unharmed.
Two women that were seen in video surveillance are believed to be connected to the auto theft. One was seen entering the stolen vehicle and one was seen leaving the QT in the about vehicle described as a 2000-2002 green Honda Accord 2-door. Both women were described as white females between 20-30 years of age with brown hair.
