These Rules apply to all participants. The Tulsa Crime Stoppers Board of Directors shall determine whether the Rules have been complied with, and the final nomination decision is final.

Eligibility: Participants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age as of the date of entry or have written permission of their parent or guardian by these Rules if under 18. The Contest is open to the City of Tulsa and Tulsa County residents. The following people are not eligible to participate in the nomination process: (1) Employees of Tulsa Fire, Tulsa Police or Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office and their immediate family.

For this purpose, “immediate family” includes the spouse, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This definition also includes a) “step” and adoptive relationships, b) individuals for whom an employee is the current legal guardian, and c) individuals who are not legally related but who reside with an employee.

Entry: Participants may enter the Contest by submitting an online Nomination Form, found at http://tulsacrimestoppers.org/tulsa-crime-stop…-hero-of-the-day/  detailing how the person nominated best characterizes a hero and demonstrates what activities the subject of the nomination has engaged in or efforts he or she has made to help, inspire and bring awareness of safety in his or her community. Completed and submitted nomination forms will be available to the Tulsa Crime Stoppers Board of Directors.  All subjects of nomination forms must consent to their participation and consideration before publicly releasing any information about such nominees.

Determination of Winner: One winner is selected by the committee (the “Judges’ Winners”) every month. The Judges’ winners will be determined by a committee based on which submissions had the best follow-the-entry requirements. Each Winner will be notified at the end of each month by e-mail or phone and announced to the public through our Crime Stoppers Facebook page and website. Prize: The estimated fair market value of the Prize is $100, but the actual value may differ but not exceed $100.00.
